A lot of the scores that I publish are in PDF format. Often I assemble these in segments that I then merge together, and for this I use an excellent little program called A-PDF Merger that I found on the internet at www.a-pdf.com. This program succeeds in joining two PDF files together even when Adobe Acrobat fails, and the only limitation of the freebie version is that it adds a watermark to the first page of the merged output. It's a great addition to my PDF toolbox.

I’ve just downloaded A-PDF Split from the same source and found it’s also a joy to use: so simple in operation and, what’s more, it can even open PDF files that Acrobat refuses claiming that they’re “damaged” and, when I re-save such a file, miraculously Acrobat then can open it! Great little program, I strongly recommend it.
